STORM BACK IN THE PLAYOFF RACE WITH 4-2 WIN

Santa Clarita, California-  It was the chance to get back in the playoff hunt with 2 games left in the regular season, and only one point separating the Storm from the second place Rangers. Only the top too teams will travel to the playoffs and the Rangers will face the UN-defeated Flash Sunday July 1, Storm took the field knowing this and knowing that the Rangers where the underdog in there game, it was a must win situation to maintain their chance to make the play-offs and regain second place.                                
 The intensity showed as it only took 25 secs for the Storm to put the first goal on the board. with assist from Stephen Martines and Alex Harlley Hany Helmy put his first goal of the season in the net.

The visitors  waiting until the 41st minute and got the opportunity on a penalty kick that was called on the Storm and the Hasental collected the point and even the score. But in the 48th minutes Hasental took the lead with a goal two take the lead. The visitors held that lead until the 59th minute of play when Storms Andres Bueno took advantage of a rebound that came off the keeper and knotted up the score.
Then just two minutes later, Martin Galvan on a run up the left side of the pitch received a pass from Alex Harrley that was an pass from the opposite side of the field and pulled in down on a 1 on 1 with the keeper Galvan beat the keeper and put the Storm up by one. the Insurance goal came in the 75th minute as newly signed Mauricio  Harrie caught a rebound from a shot of Martin Galvan and found the back of the net to insure the win. Martin Galvan was named "Player of the Game" with the game winner in the 61st minute of play.  The Storm will wrap up the regular season next week at Canyon High School as they will take on the San Diego flash who are undefeated at game time today.  The playoff race will come down to the last game of the season, do not miss it you will see exciting soccer and the opportunity for the Storm to make it in to the play offs the first year in Santa Clarita. Game time Saturday is 5pm at Canyon High School
this is also the Storm's Penny Lane night all proceeds will go to the Penny Lane Foundation.
